Nice presentation...in fact, your posts are some of the best on Substack. Very informative, to the point, no fluff. It's apparent you put a LOT into the videos...thank you!
I'm reminded of Chris Hedges' comment that every Empire in history failed when the army refused to fire on the protesters. I'm afraid that's not going to be a problem in our case. They will either deploy robot dogs (with guns) or use psychotic troops (who the HELL is firing those ATACMS in Ukraine...well, until they get blown up by the Russians?) I've felt for a while the only purpose of the U.S. Military these days is to find psychopaths and serial killers for the CIA and PMGs. I'm afraid there are a lot more than we think.
I think there is another way to solve the problem without bloodshed but I'm afraid the most folks won't want to do it. Too much programming over the last 50 years. But it is kind of fun to watch. I wish I had been the guy to invent popcorn. I'd be in that top 1% class by now.
John, thank you so much for that excellent compliment. It really means a lot.
I hear you on the anxiety about protesters vs. the US military. I have had similar thoughts. But I take comfort in knowing that, robot killers aside, our military is made up of human beings who have families just like us.
I too believe that a nonviolent solution is possible. The answer, as always, is solidarity. Break out that popcorn.
