But the 4th injunctions of Genesis says that we should replenish the earth (so that the earth can continue to give humans what they need to continue to exist on earth). This 4th injunction is never discussed because it means humans have a responsibility to protect nature.

Very nice, thank you for pointing that out

Convenient for religions not to educate their parishioners. The Bible leading principles are not being lived under so exploration of nature is not seen as an intrical part of that religions belief structure. Only subdue (which is not a correct translation)

It’s weird how these Christians are actually much less religious than the doomsday apocalypse environmentalists that think the world is going to end in 6 years because “your standard of living is too high”. If I have to pick between religious nut jobs I’ll take the Christians any day

I think the Christian right breezes over the idea that by God giving man dominion over His creations, there is a requirement to be faithful stewards. I could be wrong, but I don’t think there is anything in the Bible that tells believers to hasten the end of times or otherwise abuse God’s creations.

We are instructed to be “good stewards” of the earth. Not hard to understand. Stewardship is CARING, not destroying.

You are correct Scott and this is an important understanding for the failure of Christianity and the modern clergy. The core message of Christianity was compassion towards the less fortunate:

• If you have two cloaks give one to the poor

• Since you did it for the least of my brethren

• The greatest of these is charity

Christ said nothing about required beliefs. But quickly the first organizers of the church moved from the teachings of charity to required beliefs and created the new concept of heresy. Compassion became lost in the flood of new doctrines and the persecution of those who questioned them and wanted to think for themselves.

The church presented the absurd teaching that you had to have beliefs to get into heaven. Saint Peter would meet you at the pearly gates with a multiple-choice test. You had to get the right answers (according to your sect) or be sent to the everlasting fires of hell no matter how compassionate you may have been.

At the same time as the introduction of dogma and heresy, the organizers aligned with the establishment. They founded their headquarters in Rome. Christ had never set foot in Rome; Peter was the bishop of Antioch. But Rome was the centre of political power.

From that time on, Christian thinking, no matter of which sect, became part of and supportive of where the money was.

You need to read further into it. Where is The Magdalene in all of this Christian mess? She was placed OVER the apostles, which means over the Pope within the church. So what did the Vatican VOLUNTARILY do to her? Lied and made her image into a prostitute. Them apples, bitter. Ever since women, the Divine Feminine, The Magdalene, the Godmother who is Gaia who created and provides new life including fruits and veggies for you, had been abused severely by the fallen. Trump is Luciferian, and a Scientologist, their newly branded cult. I was a forced member at the age of seven, forced sodomy. They aren’t Christians. Satan knows the scripture just as well as God, but bends it to his own will through his worshippers. The planet has never had to deal with so many chemicals and artificial genetic modifications. The planet might actually die this time. Fifth time the cult of man has caused a societal collapse. Right there in history books. They take too much, watch it fall, and slaughter as many as they can. They’re not Christians.

I can’t believe this verse wasn’t mentioned:

Revelation 11:18 ~ “But the nations became wrathful, and your own wrath came, and the appointed time for the dead to be judged, and to give [their] reward to your slaves the prophets and to the holy ones and to those fearing your name, the small and the great, AND TO BRING TO RUIN THOSE RUINING THE EARTH.”

Now, why would that matter if the earth is about to be burned up or destroyed?

But: (2 Peter 3:5-7)

“according to their wish, this fact escapes their notice, that there were heavens from of old and an earth standing compactly out of water and in the midst of water by the word of God; 6 and by those [means] the world of that time suffered destruction when it was deluged with water. 7 But by the same word the heavens and the earth that are now are stored up for fire and are being reserved to the day of judgment and of destruction of the ungodly men.”

The world at the time of the deluge, was said to “suffer destruction” … but the planet survived. Wicked people didn’t.

By the same word, the heavens and the earth are stored up for fire. So this means wicked people, not the planet.

Enjoy!

Lots of truth here as usual. I think the afterlife promise also benefits the Capitalist Extremists too. Don't worry if your life stinks now, you'll be rewarded later. The unspoken lie of the rules: sacrifice now for reward later, and the reward never arrives.

I look forward to a time when we all stop jerking off to religion and Christianity, which is TOXIC. Read the room. This toxic platform has caused more misery of every kind for millennia. Humans have real life problems. Christianity is misdirection and propaganda.
