I find it deeply ironic that Vietnam is one of the fastest growing medical tourism destinations for Americans because our healthcare system is such a mess, thanks again to unfettered capitalism. I thoroughly enjoyed this post!

This series on capitalism is a good one, Scott. Capitalism doesn't care if the war is won or lost - companies make a profit either way. Vietnam's guerilla strategy against the USA's bulky might makes me fear what is in store for the next war. The USA still seems to enjoy enormous vehicles - tanks, bombers, warships - but what if an "enemy" just uses microscopic drones equipped with explosive or electromagnetic pulse detonators to fry equipment?

It scares me the USA is preparing the last war - not even - they seem to be preparing for the one three or four wars back. The world knows you can't beat the USA in a straight-on hardware fight like WW1 or WW2. So, they will devise other means and strategies yet to be revealed, I fear.
