Excellent post Scott! It always pisses me off when politicians use the God card to buttress their appeal. Too bad so many Americans continue to be oblivious to the degree of psychological manipulation they have been and continue to be subject to at the hands of the elite! Let’s make them pray (couldn’t resist it!).
Ha! I love it. Yes, I completely relate. But the best antidote to massive propaganda is merely pointing it out. Once the magic trick is revealed it loses much of its potency.
Very insightful! America has never fully accepted the separation of church and state as Canada has. You will never hear a Canadian politician close with 'God bless Canada'. Our politicians don't have to be seen going to church immediately after their political win. We don't have a president with executive power so we don't have an inauguration. Our Prime Ministers never have a Christian chaplain. We don't even know if our Prime Ministers are religious, that is, do they attend church, or not. And we don't care except among the Christian right, which thankfully so far does not have significant political influence here.
That is so cool, to hear how other countries' leadership manages to keep their personal feelings from getting in front of doing their job of serving the citizenship.

Thank you Jan! Another bit of Canadian culture that I feel envious about. This is one area that Canadians obviously have figured out.
Scott, thank ypu for another engaging and educational bit of history. Keep 'em coming!
Thank you Andrew, I certainly intend to!
Holy shit. What a good grasp of emotional/spiritual/power dynamic & solid grounding of intellectual ballast. Very good!
Thank you kindly! So glad you liked
